Trip Description
The Haa Summer Festival was established to showcase the unique living-culture and the nomadic lifestyles of the people of Haa valley in western Bhutan – through a day filled with local cuisines, traditional sports and religious performances – making it a very interactive and a personal experience for spectators where visitors can participate in the events. Other things you can do in Haa valleyis to combine it with beautiful day hikes to hermitages or even a multi-day camping to the Nub-tsonapatta lake – one of the least visited treks in Bhutan and that makes it a very unique experience.. This tie time of the year, the vegetation is full of life and the hikes are festooned with a variety of alpine flowers amongst which includes the national flower of Bhutan – the Blue Poppy. If you are into angling, the Haa river is perfect for a day of trout fishing as well. Lets focus on this valley for much of the trip, but do include Paro, Thimphu and Punakha valley in this trip for 8-9 day trip of a lifetime.
