This exclusive biking trip from us is a deliberate bid to introduce biking experiences in the least visited areas of Eastern Bhutan. Suitable for those with mountain biking experience and a good level of fitness, this trip takes the rider to the valleys of Trashigang and TrashiYangtse on a challenging single-track road that is intermittently divided into asphalt and dirt roads. The route connects some of the most beautiful villages inhabited by the Sharshokpa people with own unique lifestyles and dialects. The area happens to be rich with local artistry and handicrafts particularly textiles. Some of the best textiles and wood products in the country originate from these villages.Eastern Bhutan also remains to be one of the most unspoilt regions in Bhutan and the variety of landscape here is staggering – from stark mountains, fertile valleys and rocky gorges, to rivers, pine forests and isolated settlements. Nights are spent mostly in farmhouses or campsites. We have partnered with a local family house in Radhi known for their textile productions, to provide our guests with authentic farmhouse experiences. Our host is will treat you like a family member and you can witness village lifestyle as they go about doing their daily chores. Exhilarating biking by day and integrating with the locals in the evenings, makes this holiday a unique and special quality that discerning mountain bikers will find very appealing. A support vehicle will follow the group with plenty of cold drinks and snacks.
